Why the house keeps it
We keep Newport Beach Vineyards because it is a genuine improbability — a working winery in Newport Beach, founded in 1999 and described in its listing as the first licensed winery in Orange County in over a hundred years, with a 1,000-square-foot wine cave for private tours and tastings. The house admires a thing that should not exist and does.
